HERMITAGE “S. MARIA DELLA VISITAZIONE” (ASSISI)
It is December 1984: a priest we have known for a long time Fr. Franco Bertolotti wants to donate a house of prayer, of contemplation, of rediscovery of that ancient, if still new, call to life: faith, in the young, fresh – spring land of Assisi! The person in charge then went to the local Ordinary, who succeeded Father Dino Tomassini, Mons. Sergio Goretti, who is supposed to give the official approval of the Church, for the opening and beginning of community life in Mora di Assisi.”
On January 15, 1985, “of the Hermitage of Santa Maria in the Visitazione” was opened.

Institute prayer house and shelter.

This house is placed in tranquility, solitary, full of providential silence, to offer the Servants of the Visitation, the young people, all creatures, the “ideal” space and time, to enter into communion with God, to share again full of joy, exultation, courage, to remind the world that “spring” has always dreamed of by “man” is near: the Savior offers a renewed and simple heart so that his creation returns as it did at the beginning!
In this land of Assisi, blessed by the salutary – peaceful message of the “Poverello” who, through the centuries, reaches the man of all times, allowing him to use and enjoy all the wonders of God, a small number of Servants try to testify that, only in silence and contemplation, love becomes aware of its miraculous essence, of his freedom and his power of intimacy.
The Servants in Mora of Assisi are committed, in the line of the Charism, to create spaces for contemplation, prayer and dialogue.
