SOCIAL MINISTRY
The Servants of the Visitation carry out a pastoral service in the social field, in various forms, in almost all the communities.
This is done by visiting poor families to get to know their needs by listening to them and offering concrete help in the ways and to the extent ways and in the measure appropriate to each situation. The means to do all this are the fruit of the generosity of many:
through long-distance adoption of individual children or entire families, through support for study, by offering work in the mission. Another form of social aid is that of visiting prisoners to offer a listening ear, to animate prayer, even to animate festive moments at Christmas or Easter. In some communities in the big cities, social service is provided to people living in shanty towns and to street children.
