Antananarivo – Bevalala

The community of Bevalala is composed on average of ten Sisters and welcomes the Postulants of Madagascar. The prevailing apostolate that engages most of the Sisters is the educational one: in the “Magnificat” school of the Congregation, which deals with both direction and teaching in the various classes, from preschool to maturity. This year, in fact, the school has received authorization to activate teaching in higher classes. The community is also responsible for the “Magnificat Educational Center” which currently welcomes seventeen children/adolescents, orphans or with families in difficulty, who live permanently in the mission and for whom the religious community constitutes a second family. The Sister dedicated to them performs the function of a mother and, assisted by a qualified person, tries to accompany each one in the process of human, spiritual and cultural growth. The weekend is dedicated to pastoral care in the parish where the Sisters are engaged in catechesis, liturgical animation, youth ministry, and the accompaniment of Scout groups. Every year there are also some Sisters who study to prepare professionally to carry out a more qualified apostolate in the various sectors.
